Mechanical Drive Training System   MDTS-3000   Downloadable Data Sheet        Introduction   This economical, yet comprehensive, package of mechanical training equipment combines the best features of three proven EDU-LABS DIDACTIC mechanical training systems, in one hands-on workstation. The system allows the student to progress through the full range of common mechanical skills using one comprehensive training system.   The primary training components from EDU-LABS DIDACTIC trainers relating to Belt Drives, Chain Drives, Gear Drives, Industrial Bearings and Shaft Alignment are combined in one economical package.   This economical training package can easily be implemented in the industrial training or technical education environment.   Features   Belt Drive Training Module, including all training elements (driver, adjustable base), all belt and sheave components, specialized tools, and standard accessories as outlined under product MTS-100.   Chain Drive Training Module, including chain, sprockets, links, specialized tools, and standard accessories as outlined under product MTS-200   Gear Drive Training Module, including modular gearbox (also used as the driven element in belt and chain modules, and as the fixed unit in shaft alignment), with bevel gear adapter assembly, all gears and bearings, specialized tools, and standard accessories as outlined under product MTS-300   Training Modules   BELT DRIVE TRAINING MODULE   MTS-100                 Aluminum Profile System designed with provision for X, Y and Z combination mounting capability. Universal Adjustable Motor Base for angular tensioning, Universal Adjustable Idler module and driven elements. Multiple motor positions allow for demonstration of multiple tensioning requirements. Three Phase AC Inverter Module for motor speed control and direction control. Heavy-duty flanged bearings allowing for variation in shaft misalignment. Polished Shafting included Fractional horsepower belts and sheaves, allowing for installation at two shaft centerline distances. Multiple type-B, type-M and Type-A belt set, including tapered bushing, 2-groove sheaves, matched belts and a mismatched belt example. Positive drive belt application including belt and sheaves. Packaged with hardware for applications related to multiple matched belts, fractional horsepower belts, positive drive belts and variable pitch sheaves, this device provides a variety of training scenarios in one benchtop piece of equipment Optional drive hardware relating to other belt types and chain drives are available to expand the device's usefulness. CHAIN DRIVE TRAINING MODULE   MTS-200                     Aluminum Profile System designed with provision for X, Y and Z combination mounting capability. Universal Adjustable Motor Base for angular tensioning, Universal Adjustable Idler module and driven elements. Multiple motor positions allow for demonstration of multiple tensioning requirements. Polished Shafting included Multiple motor positions, allowing for establishment of several different chain lengths.  Provision for motor element jacking.  Chain, including #40 series standard, double pitch and single pitch, double strand chain, (2) timing chain and Silent Chain.  Connecting links, including cotter pin, spring clip and offset types. (6) Mixed diameter sprockets, with provision for keyed, taper bore and taper lock.   GEAR DRIVE TRAINING MODULE   MTS-300     Aluminum Profile System designed with provision for X, Y and Z combination mounting capability.
