There are no ventilation slots in either the top or base of the equipment, also no external heatsinks, further for improved safety all sockets are recessed. This attention to safety and unit protection makes it ideal for Schools and Universities as well as test and development laboratories. The output is isolated to the input and the case.   The output voltage is indicated on precise class 2.0 instruments Meter. The output voltages are available on separate safety sockets on the front panel.   A switch on the front selects the DC-output smoothing ON or OFF.   Output voltage is floating and can therefore be referenced to earth via the positive or negative rail. The unit case is always connected to mains safety ground.   On overload a temperature switch on the front shuts down the unit and can be reset by pressing the switch.
